Paintings Gleaned From An Artist's Lifetime Of Observations and Experience
Creating art has been my primary focus in life. As a student/graduate of Pratt Institute I was exposed to classical training in painting & drawing. These are the principles I've maintained and taught ever since.
My study of mankind's relationships - with other people and with the Earth - is the inspiration for "Social Commentary". "The Goddesses" are based on my experiences as a woman. The irony & understandings (or misunderstandings) we have of each other as women & men are featured in these paintings.
Good art is timeless. The medium doesn't matter. Whether music, theatre or imagery a true classic is relevant years after it was produced because the artist captured a truth that rings true in people's hearts. That's the artist's ultimate goal - to create timeless art.
